Tom Lee young chef of the year 2010 (* NEW *)

Our Tom has done it again!

For the 2nd year running our Sous Chef Tom Lee has won the Merseyside leg of the 'North West Young Chef of the Year 2010'. Tom went head to head with four other finalists to retain his title at the cook-offs held at Wirral Metropolitan college on Wednesday 31st March.

Tom impressed the judges with a tortellini of Anglesy mussels with crispy pancetta, leeks and a parsley foam, followed by pan roast rump of Barnston Longhorn beef with miniature cottage pie, new season carrot purree, field mushrooms, spinach and natural jus. For dessert he whisked up an iced parfait of Mrs Kirkham’s lancashire cheese with Crispin apple and sorbet.

Tom has also been invited to the National Young Chef of the year competition. Only ten young chefs from the whole of the UK have been selected by special invitation. The competition will take place on 11th October at Londons Earl Court. Good Luck Tom!
